Gymnastics Program Director/Manager
Full-Time Salary Position
Somerton Gymnastics is seeking an experienced, motivated, and organized individual to join our leadership team as a Gymnastics Program Director/Manager.
This long-standing gym has built a reputation for developing exceptional gymnasts while providing high-quality instruction in a positive and supportive environment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about gymnastics, leadership, staff development, and creating an outstanding experience for athletes and families.
Position Overview
The Program Director/Manager is responsible for developing, coordinating, growing, and maintaining the gymnastics program. This position provides leadership, instruction, and motivation for both athletes and coaching staff while working closely with the Gym Director to ensure programs are delivered with consistency and high standards every day.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can effectively balance coaching responsibilities with program management and staff development. Approximately 30–40% of the role will involve coaching, with the remaining time focused on operations, planning, staff oversight, and program growth.
Pay
Compensation is negotiable based on experience. Opportunity available to combine this position with the Head Team Coach role.
Responsibilities
Gymnastics Program

Design, implement, and evaluate gymnastics programs, activities, and events

Maintain high-quality instruction standards across all recreational and team programs

Create lesson plans and class rotation schedules

Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, staff, and the community

Monitor program participation and evaluate program effectiveness
Staff Management
-
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and schedule staff and volunteers
-
Support staff development and ongoing training
-
Conduct staff evaluations alongside the Gym Director
-
Develop strategies to motivate staff and support program goals
-
Schedule staff trainings and clinics
-
Assist with payroll and staff scheduling
-
Process staff time-off requests
Special Programs & Events
-
Coordinate and oversee camps, clinics, showcase/exhibitions, and special events. Future events: birthday parties

Work alongside camp leadership to organize schedules, staffing, procedures, activities, and transportation

Coordinate facility usage for programs and event
Marketing & Growth

Assist with marketing initiatives and program promotion

Support social media and community outreach efforts

Help organize registration and promotional campaigns
Additional Duties

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Gym Director

Availability for select weekends is required
Qualifications
-
Background in gymnastics, physical education, child development, or related field preferred
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with children in a gymnastics setting
-
Prior management, leadership, and customer service experience preferred
-
Strong understanding of gymnastics safety standards and athlete development

Experience supervising staff and volunteers
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Organized, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset
-
CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
Gymnastics Head Team Coach
Part - Time & Full - Time Positions Available!
Somerton Gymnastics is looking for an experienced and motivated Head Team Coach to lead our USAG Xcel Program.
Applicants must have prior coaching experience and be comfortable working with both competitive team athletes and recreational gymnasts. The ideal candidate is positive, reliable, organized, and passionate about athlete development.
Position Details:
• USAG Xcel coaching experience preferred
• Must be capable of coaching recreational classes
• Strong communication and leadership skills required
